Shades o f Green
why is green her favorite color?
let's just say they have history...
G
reen is the color of springtime, and unofficially of Ireland. Trish is a green-eyed Pisces born in the springtime, on St. Patty’s Day to be exact. The Savage side of the family were Scot-Irish farmers immigrating to North Carolina in the late 1600s.
Seattle, WA is known as the Emerald City, and Trish knew she belonged there during a trip with her teen choir at age 13. Growing up in the desert town of Roswell, New Mexico, green aliens adorning the town walls, she was shocked at how “growing and alive” everything was in Seattle.
Fast forward 20 years and Trish performed all over the Emerald City, from hotel lounges to local pubs, as the lead vocalist in various jazz ensembles, and with the band The Last Minute Maybes sporting her seafoam green Stratocaster, Triton.
Trish now launches her solo career with the help of “Night All Day” producer Phillip A. Peterson (House of Breaking Glass),
and Marino Correia of Cinema-Sonic, whom she met at yoga class.
Speaking of yoga…
it’s worth mentioning that green is the color of the heart chakra.
This is a time of opening to greater love, and strengthening connections that fill our wells and remind us : There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and the night will never outlast the day.

Too bad she doesn’t still have that ’68 Ford to pass down…
What does the night have to say?
It won't talk forever
I am so incredibly grateful for the people who have given me comfort and support, sharing wise words that have given way to lyrics and life lessons;
Those who have reminded me to focus on the bright side, and also those who suggested I “sit with the discomfort” and invite the darkness to tea.
I was once asked, what colors are you not embracing in your music? The same can be asked about the parts that we could be ignoring in ourselves.
All colors coexist. The entire spectrum makes up our life experience. The pastel morning. The silken, fragile, and damp textures of the shadows.
The golden glow of the emerging sun that is felt before seen.
It is my hope that I can make the kind of music that inspires a feeling.
Or, multiple feelings by way of swirling colors that emerge and then settle peacefully, allowing space for the others to have their say.
Whatever color it currently is, may we rest on its breeze, nod to the shadows, and perk our ears for the tiny chorus reminding us that something sunnier emerges. It is actually not really going to be, night all day.
